Ken Taylor - Managing Director
He has engaged in the design, prototype, debug, install and operation of electronic and computer & communications systems, and in particular satellite communications systems; high-level support for ICT systems; the management of staff of diverse cultural and educational background; training of staff and clients; and mentoring of staff.
He has participated in government and regional working groups (ITU, TUANZ, PITA, etc.) and is a member of the IEEE and IET engineering societies, and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Gerry Gerlach - CEO
Gerry has been a business advisor for 30 years assisting clients to improve their business practices with particular focus on change management activities designed to help them grow and improve efficiencies in their business. Most of this time was spent in Sydney acting for over 400 small companies in many aspects of their business. He moved to Wagga Wagga 10 years ago for a tree change and has settled there and has been busy helping local businesses.
In 2015 he consulted to Silvertone Electronics to develop a Strategic Plan for its completion of Proof of concept and in July 2016 took on the role of CEO to see that 3 year plan to fruition.
Sam Cowen - Chief Remote Pilot & Avionics Specialist
Sam is an Avionics Engineer and has an exclusive background in Avionics. He is the enabler of autonomous flight for our UAV platforms and will steer the development of our future autonomous flight in house developments.
Sam was the Chief Technology Officer at Firetail UAV, designing the UAV autopilot system and Ground Station software for an autonomous mapping UAV.
Previously an employee of REX Airlines, Sam's experience includes maintaining avionic systems in airline aircraft, small trainer aircraft and avionics components.
At Silvertone, he has been instrumental in design of the electronic subsystems and embedded computing in our UAVs, and in the development of the software to drive all these systems.
His dedication to procedure and knowledge of UAVs, their payloads and their usage makes him an exemplary CRP!
